How membership worksGhana Network or Diaspora Network:
Which One Are You?
The Base Movement has two equal membership tracks. Where you live determines which one you join. If you live in Ghana, you belong to a constituency. If you live abroad, you belong to a Base Diaspora network. Both tracks carry the same weight in building a new Ghana.

If you live in Ghana
Constituency
Ghana is divided into 275 parliamentary constituencies. Every Base member living in Ghana joins under the constituency where they live and vote. There are no Base Diaspora networks inside Ghana. Constituencies are the unit.

checkYou register under the constituency where you reside and are registered to vote.
checkConstituencies are the primary unit of political accountability: your MP, your vote, your voice.

Base Diaspora
Ghanaians in the diaspora don't have constituencies; those exist only within Ghana's borders. Instead, diaspora members organise through Base Diaspora networks: one for each country where they live.
checkExclusively for Ghanaians in the diaspora. There are no constituencies outside Ghana, so Base Diaspora networks fill that role.
checkBase Diaspora networks are organised by country: e.g. Base Diaspora — United Kingdom, Base Diaspora — United States, Base Diaspora — Germany.
checkDiaspora members are equally valued: Base Diaspora networks feed resources, advocacy, and visibility back into the national movement.
checkEach country network is led by an appointed coordinator who connects directly to the national leadership structure.
Join the Diaspora Networkarrow_forwardinfoConstituencies and Base Diaspora networks never overlap. Ghana's 275 constituencies cover every resident member. There are no Base Diaspora networks inside Ghana; they exist only outside Ghana, organised by the countries where our diaspora lives. Whichever track you join, you are a full member of The Base Movement with equal rights, responsibilities, and voice.
