How to Register and Get Verified as a Base Movement Member
Joining The Base Movement is simple, and we've built the process to work whether you're online in Ghana, connecting from abroad. Here's exactly what to expect from start to finish.
Step 1: Choose Your Network
Go to Register from the main menu, or tap Join the Base on the homepage. The first thing you'll do is choose your platform: Ghana Resident Network (constituency-based) if you live in Ghana, or Diaspora Network if you live abroad. This choice determines which membership track you join, so pick the option that matches where you currently live.
Step 2: Create Your Account
The first page of the online form asks for:
Full name (required): first and last name, exactly as it appears on your ID card.
Email address (optional): you can register without one, but it is recommended. If you enter one, it must be a valid address.
Referred by (optional): the person or code that sent you, if any.
Voter's ID card number (Ghana Resident Network only, optional): the 10-digit number. You can leave it blank, but it is fine to provide it.
Step 3: Tell Us About You
Ghana Resident Network:
Region and constituency (required).
District: filled in for you from your constituency, and you can change it.
Polling station name and code (optional, but fine to provide).
Diaspora Network:
Country and city (required).
Diaspora community (optional): choose the community for your country if you want to.
Both networks:
Primary phone number (required).
Secondary phone number (optional).
Gender (required).
Age range (required) (18-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-60 or 60+). If you enter your birth year, which is optional, you do not have to pick an age range.
Religion (optional).
Password (required): at least 8 characters.
Adult membership is for ages 18 and over. If you are 14 to 17, join the Youth Wing instead.
Step 4: Final Declaration
This page is mostly optional, but the more you provide, the better we can serve you:
Profession: choose from the list or write your own (optional).
Education level (optional).
Number of children (optional).
Digital address (optional): your Ghana Post GPS code if you are in Ghana, or your city address abroad.
Emergency contact name, relationship and phone number (optional, recommended).
Declaration (required): tick the box to confirm your information is true and to accept the privacy policy.
Step 5: Add Your Photo and Submit
Your photo is required. Upload a clear photo of your own face, then crop it. It appears on your official membership card, so please do not use a random picture or someone else's photo.
Once you submit, your details are checked. If they are complete (your full name, a phone number or email, and your constituency in Ghana or your country abroad), you are verified automatically; otherwise a membership officer reviews your registration. Your permanent registration number, formatted as TBM-GH-XXXXXX for Ghana Resident Network members or TBM-DI-XXXXXX for Diaspora Network members, is issued when you register.

A Few Tips Before You Start
Have your phone number and a clear photo of your face ready. A Voter's ID number is optional for the Ghana Resident Network.
Diaspora registrants do not need a Voter's ID. Have your country and city of residence ready.
Know your exact region, constituency, and if possible, your polling station, before you start the Ghana form.
Have a clear photo of your own face ready to attach or upload (not a random picture or someone else's photo).
If you are 14 to 17, join the Youth Wing instead. Adult membership is for ages 18 and over.
Choose your platform (Ghana Resident Network or Diaspora Network) based on where you currently live, not your nationality or birthplace.
Registration takes just a few minutes, and once verified, you become a full member with equal standing in the movement, regardless of which track you joined. Read more about The Base Movement.

Adults aged 18 and over, whether you live in Ghana (Ghana Resident Network) or abroad (Diaspora Network). If you are 14 to 17, join the Youth Wing.
Do I need an ID number to register?
No. The online form does not require an ID number. A Voter's ID number is optional for the Ghana Resident Network. Your full name should match your ID card.
Which details are required?
Full name, primary phone number, gender, age range (or birth year), a password, the declaration and your photo. Ghana members also choose a region and constituency; Diaspora members choose a country and city. Everything else is optional, and it is fine to provide it.
How do I choose between Ghana and Diaspora?
Choose by where you live now, not by nationality or birthplace.
What is my membership number?
It looks like TBM-GH-XXXXXX for Ghana Resident Network members or TBM-DI-XXXXXX for Diaspora Network members, and is issued when you register.
How does verification work?
If your registration has your full name, a phone number or an email address, and your constituency (Ghana) or country (Diaspora), it is verified automatically. If something is missing or unclear, a membership officer reviews it. There is no fixed review time, but it does not take long.
What photo should I upload?
Upload a clear photo of your own face. Please do not use a random picture, a logo or someone else's photo. A real profile photo helps the team verify you quickly.
I still see that I am not verified. What should I do?
Check that your name, phone or email, constituency or country, and profile photo are complete. If you are still not verified, send us a message through the contact form or reach us on WhatsApp from the contact page.
